CARRY-ON: Puerto Rico Inspected, presents a multi-media contemporary exhibition glimpsing into the vehement beauty of the work that is being produced in Puerto Rico and its diasporas. The haunting allure the exhibit as a whole embodies, presents work that is both contemporary and volatile. The insular background of the artists are explored and referenced, while the portability of the physical artwork, its journey here and its self reflections uncover the complex layers of social, political, and economical realities. This national-transnational collaboration aims to extend boundaries and disseminate forward Puerto Rican contemporary arts and culture.
